Here's two easterly views of the site, with our first load of lumber in the foreground. The two big black things on the hill are our water storage (for us and the cattle)
The difference between these two photos is one month - from March to April. Notice how different the hills are, from green with mustard plants to dry and sienna coloured.
Here's a view with the "glulams" up. The round structure in the front is the guys' fire ring where they B-B-Q and make coffee.

The small trusses on the very left hand are above the carport. The five widely-spaced trusses in the middle include spaces for the clerestory windows above the kitchen and living area. The right side show trusses are above the bedroom and office areas. Our ceilings will all be 10' tall. The ceilings in all areas except the hallway and second bedroom will be cathedral (arched) with tongue & groove ceilings.
